Description

Keep your family safe from harmful UV rays at the beach or park with the Dark Blue Sun Blocker Beach Umbrella. The 300-denier polyester shade offers an SPF of 100+. This umbrella is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation as part of an overall "SunSensible" program. You can tilt the umbrella to make the shade move with the sun, keeping you always protected. The shade measures 6 feet in diameter and is supported by powder-coated steel ribs and pole. Separate the pole into two sections for easy transport. A pointed end on the pole makes it easy to drive into the sand or ground wherever you're ready for shade.

Bought this for our beach vacation. Used it everyday and it was great - will be buying another for additional coverage. If this one is available in a size larger than 6 feet, I'd go with that instead. 6 feet covers two people but more coverage would be even better.

Pros: price, it was definitely more sturdy than many other umbrellas I saw at the beach, great at blocking sun (has UVA/UVB lining).

Cons: No real storage bag, need one of those umbrella sand anchors (would need that for any umbrella however). One day when there were very high winds we had to take it down for awhile to avoid damaging it. Still, we were able to keep it up longer than others around us, the only umbrellas that could handle the wind were the professional/commercial grade rental ones.

This umbrella did great at the beach. With the winds the umbrella never bent upwards like you see some of them do with the winds. It provided great shade. The only thing I did not like about this umbrealla is I wish it was a little bigger and that it came with a carry bag to make it easy to cary to the beach. I would not pay over [$] for this umbrealla. I found it online for this price and thought it was worth the money I paid for it since it did not come with a carry bag. If it came with the bag I would have paid extra.

      Used for shaded seating at a small poolside table a little larger than a Bistro table. Also very portable for beach trips, Shade for a couple of beachchairs. Love the shade of blue and the addtl liner layer of fabric really blocks the rays very well as advertised. The pole could be just a little more stable, but have had no problems and I am satisfy with the product and the price is very reasonable for the product.
