If you are looking for something small and simple to provide shade on the go, this product is great. I keep it in my trunk, and I can have immediate shade for my infant no matter where we go. The diameter is a bit small, so if you will need shade for more than one person, go with something bigger.

This umbrella does NOT work if the arms on your beach chairs are fabric. My fold-up beach chairs have fabric arms, so there is nothing to attach the umbrella clamp to. You would have to have chairs w/ good, solid plastic or wooden arms to make these umbrellas work.

sorry to say I was very disappointed in this product. Should have known because of the price. It does not hold onto the back of my chair, once I tighten it the mechanism fails and slips off. Wish I had not pourchased it and hope that it can be returned.
