The Ostrich 3-in-1 Beach Chair can be positioned in three distinct positions to fit any mood: standard chair position, lounge position, and lying flat either face up or face down. With three additional footrest positions to choose from, this chair offers a total of five configurations that you can fine-tune for ultimate relaxation by the pool or on the beach. The included pillow flips over to ensure comfortable head support in any position. This beach chair features a patented open/close face cavity for quick, easy adjustments. I used the Ostrich 3-in-1 lounger all day yesterday and throughout the day, I couldn't help but continue to remark to myself how glad I was to have bought it. It's comfortable in most any position (... spoken from someone with lower-back issues). It's easily portable, practical, attractive, and due to it's design, one can get on and off the lounger with greater ease than standard lounge chairs. While at first glance I thought [$] was a bit much to spend on a lounge chair, after using it for the day, I realized I bought a product that I will use happily and for a long time. It's totally worth it!

After reading the negative reviews I still decided to order the chair as a gift. When the chair arrived, one of the support bars was severely dented, it looked like someone stepped on it. Also, the pad that your head can rest on, the fabric covering it was torn. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

    The reason we chose was we were sick of throwing rusted chairs away every year and a friend has had her chair for 4 years and it has not rusted; then once we got it, we love the design, ease in carrying, weight. We ordered ours on Thurs, received on Sat., and two friends have since ordered theirs. Just waiting for SUN so we can try them at Honeymoon Beach!

    The delivery was very prompt but the package was damaged. I do not beleive the source that damaged the package, also damaged the chair. It seems the chair was shipped already damaged.

          comfort on all counts:
          lying face up, sitting up, lying face down
          comfort in carrying:
          super light weight,
          folds easily and compactly
          hole in wooden handle act as a carrying point
          strap attached to side also acts as a hands free carry
          cup holder designed to swivel out for use, and swivel back under wooden handle when not in use.
          I knew of this design quite a few years ago, but it was rather pricey and heavy.
          now it is light weight and priced very competitively.
          funny....we thought we would be the envy on the beach the other day....and 4 people placed their sets a few yards from us...guess what, they had the SAME CHAIRS!!
          go figure..
          you can't go wrong with this chair. enjoy!
