This chair is both sturdy and comfortable. I sat at the beach for hours in it and would have sat longer if I could have. The fabric is even softer then those normal plastic beach chairs. I would definitely buy this brand again. Also, I am definitely what yuo would call a plus size girl and I didn't feel like I was ging to break it and it was definitely wide enough.

I am a very frequent beachgoer and I have had several of this style of RIO's beachchairs over the years. I just bought the current model because the 6 year old one I had recently broke. I can say that RIO has beefed up the contruction at the stressed area which broke on my old one. Although it was beefed up with the use of plastic pieces so time will tell if it does last longer. The only bone of contention with the new model is it is advertised as 5-position chair which it does technically have. The problem is that the most upright position is not very comfortable as it is too upright. The second most upright posistion is a more natural seating position. This 2nd most upright position is the same the most upright in the older model I had. So only negative I have is that it has only 4 useful positions.
