The Big Kahuna Beach Chair is head and shoulders above any comparable beach chair that I've ever owned or used. It's comfortable both in the upright reading position as well as all of the reclining modes. I found my 170-pound, 5-9 frame well supported; the head rest was comfortable and my lower back appreciated the firm seat. The arm rests are comfortable as well and widely positioned for relaxation and thorough tanning. Construction is high quality and the fabric is both attractive and strong. The light weight of the chair makes carrying easy despite a tendency to unfold if not grasped properly -- this a minor negative, really, and probably a product of the chair's ample size. The BK added considerable pleasure to our recent beach holiday. If you can afford the premium price relative to many flimsier alternatives, treat yourself to a chair that I believe will deliver pure relaxation pleasure for many years.

Lots of good things about this chair, but unfortunately a few not so good.
It's very comfortable, sturdy and looks great.
Unfortunately the seat back adjustment brackets are made of plastic. In the almost fully reclined position it slipped out of position and the seat back fell down flat. Luckily I had extended the bar on the back that's used when fully reclining the seat, so it didn't have far to fall. I thought perhaps I hadn't pushed the arms down all the way to lock it into position, so I tried it again ... with the same result.
Also the storage pocket was not sewed all the way up on one side. Looks like the material was simply cut too short.
For this price I expected better workmanship and quality control.
